Thrillers often contain a similar theme, but in a vast range of different contexts. A similar theme is a protagonist facing a problem that needs overcoming, and often the problem endangers the protagonists, and they are often faced with death as a very real possibility.
Thrillers also often use similar elements in film; Mise en scene; sound; editing; camera shots and movement.
